About

It was during a 14 month long backpacking adventure in Asia in the mid 90’s that my attention peaked in regards to Yoga and the Healing Arts from the East. Upon returning from my journey, I immediately registered myself into a 6-week yoga course in Charleston, SC. I distinctly remember floating out of that first class and declaring to anyone listening in the parking lot that I was going to be a yoga instructor! In 1999, I embarked on my first yoga teacher training in San Francisco with It’s Yoga, specializing in Ashtanga Yoga. In 2003, I packed my yoga mat and my surfboard and headed to the beautiful country of Costa Rica for a month-long intensive yoga training at Nosara Yoga Institute. The days were filled with yoga, surfing and exploring the jungle; it was my idea of heaven. Over the past 2 decades, I have had the pleasure of sharing yoga with thousands of people from all over the world and it brings me great joy. I love teaching beginner to advanced students and focus on a flowing style that explores the journey of mindfulness of body, mind and spirit on and off the yoga mat.
